CREATES: Visiting Professorship – fixed term full or part time positions
CREATES, Department of Economics and Business, Aarhus University, invites letters of interest for a number of positions at the senior full professor level within the fields of time series econometrics and/or financial econometrics. The positions are fixed term full or part time positions which can be tailored flexibly. For instance positions could be 1-2 months per year for a number of years, or 5-12 months for one or two years. The actual design of the contract will depend on the preferences of the candidate. The positions are research positions with a limited teaching load at the graduate level. Successful candidates will be affiliated with CREATES as a fellow for a fixed period. During employment periods, the fellow is expected to spend the majority of the time at CREATES and to interact and collaborate with faculty and students. An attractive salary scheme including housing can be offered. For non-Danish researchers favorable tax-schemes exist. Conference travel support will be offered.
CREATES, Center for Research in Econometric Analysis of TimE Series (CREATES – www.creates.au.dk, is a center of excellence funded by the Danish National Research Foundation and is hosted by the Department of Economics and Business, Aarhus University, www.econ.au.dk. Research at CREATES covers a range of disciplines in time series and financial econometrics. Domestic senior members include Ole Barndorff-Nielsen, Bent Jesper Christensen, Tom Engsted, Niels Haldrup, Eric Hillebrand, Søren Johansen, Asger Lunde, Anders Rahbek, Carsten Tanggaard, and Timo Teräsvirta. Associate members include Torben Andersen, Tim Bollerslev, Peter Christoffersen, Peter Hansen, Michael Jansson, Dennis Kristensen, Morten Nielsen, Mark Podolskij, and Allan Timmermann. CREATES is an institutional member of SoFiE, The Society for Financial Econometrics. CREATES has an active research environment with frequent visitors, seminars, workshops etc.
