We are currently expanding our Faculty and seek to make a number of additional appointments in the areas of Economics and Finance.
Professor(s)/Reader(s) in Economics and/or Finance
Successful candidates for Professor and Reader in Economics and/or Finance (equivalent to Full Professor and tenured Associate Professor) will be academics of international standing with a significant and sustainable track record of research publications in high quality journals. They will also have proven ability to offer leadership in research, attract external research funding, supervise PhD students, and deliver highquality teaching at various levels within their field.
Senior Lecturer(s)/Lecturer(s) in Economics and Finance
Applicants for Lecturer and Senior Lecturer level (equivalent to tenure-track Assistant Professor and Associate Professor) will be expected to show clear potential to publish in leading journals, contribute to quality teaching, and bid for external research income.
Longlisted candidates will be offered the opportunity to meet with representatives of the School for a preliminary interview at the 2013 ASSA Annual Meeting in San Diego, 4 – 6 January 2013. Alternatively a preliminary skype interview (or if access to skype is not possible, a telephone interview) will be offered to longlisted candidates not attending the conference.
Short-listed candidates will be invited to Durham to make a presentation as soon as can be arranged after the ASSA Meeting.
