The AEA Annual Meeting registration discount deadline is December 3, 2012. The fee for registration will then increase from $65 to $125. We are adding additional hotels. AEA Continuing Education Program; January 6-8, 2013 at the Westin, San Diego, immediately after the annual meeting. The topics are:
- Labor Economics (Jesse Rothstein, University of California-Berkeley, and Lowell Taylor, Carnegie Mellon University)
- Public Finance (Alan Auerbach, University of California-Berkeley, and James Poterba, Massachusetts Institute of Technology)
- Time Series Econometrics (Giorgio Primiceri, Northwestern University, and Frank Schorfheide, University of Pennsylvania)

Nominations for American Economic Journals’ Best Paper Prizes. Suggestions for nominations for the annual “Best Paper" prizes for the AEA’s four American Economic Journals are solicited now. The awards will be announced in April 2013, selected from articles published in the 2010 through 2012 volumes of each AEJ. To make suggestions go to http://www.aeaweb.org/aej/bestpapernominations.php. Deadline is February 15, 2013.
The Third Annual AEA Conference on Teaching (at the undergraduate and graduate levels) and Research in Economic Education (all levels, including precollege) will be held May 29-31, 2013 at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown. The conference is hosted by the AEA Committee on Economic Education in cooperation with the Journal of Economic Education and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Plenary talks will be given by John List, Steven Levitt, and Derek Neal of the University of Chicago. The Bank will host a dinner for participants.
Submissions will be accepted via the AEA online submission system. Submissions may be of individual papers, complete sessions of three or four papers, workshops, or panels. Submissions of completed sessions are especially encouraged. The submission deadline is December 15, 2012. More information is available at http://www.aeaweb.org/committees/AEACEE/index.php.
