Dear Colleagues,

Our "Behavioural Economics Team" here at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission offering a new Post-doc position in behavioural economics. The focus of this position will be research and policy development in the field of "healthy Europe" with particular emphasis on the role of early childhood socialisation or impact of aging on decision making. See attached for more details. Would be great, if you could pass this information to promising PhD students at the final stage or other post docs potentially interested.

The work here is a bit unusual for experimental/behavioural economics – as we have to deliver answers to questions from policy makers of the European Commission, ranging from issues of public health and consumer protection to better tax policies, innovation policies, regional policies, human resource management etc. All research done is directly for practical applications. Very interdisciplinary! To get an impression of recent activities, please see http://ihcp.jrc.ec.europa.eu/our_activities/public-health/behavioural_sciences

Needless to say, that we are looking for somebody who will also keep the team spirit high..

We are ready for any further questions, potential applicants might have. Deadline is in 24 March, so you should hurry up!!

And as regards the location – directly at the Lago Maggiore – one of the most beautiful regions of Europe.
