Tenure Track Assistant Professor Positions in Microeconomics, Public Economics, Behavioral Economics, Experimental Economics, Neuroeconomics
The Department of Economics of Maastricht University (Netherlands) is offering tenure track Assistant Professorship positions in Microeconomics (especially Economic Theory and Industrial Organization), Public Economics (especially micro-based), Behavioral Economics, Experimental Economics, and Neuroeconomics to commence in 2014.
The successful applicants contribute to research and teaching (in English) in the areas described above. Administrative duties will be limited.
- Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field (completed or nearly completed)
- Strong affinity with academic research and teaching
- Strong research orientation
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Tenure track positions are initially offered for a three-year period and, subject to a positive evaluation, extended by another three years, with the possibility of tenure thereafter. Salary is competitive and ranges (depending on qualifications and experience) from EUR 3259 to EUR 5070 per month (12 monthly payments) for a full-time job. On top of this, there is an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end of year allowance. Non-Dutch applicants may be eligible for favourable tax treatment.
