The International Atlantic Economic Conference will once again be held in Madrid, Spain, 2-5 April 2014. Join us as we bring together economists from all over the world to network and discuss the challenges of tomorrow. You’re invited to celebrate over 40 years of networking and collaborative research!


The abstract submission site will close for early submissions as of this Friday, 15 November, 2013.

Abstract Submission dates: 1 October-15 November 2013
Economists from all areas of specialization are invited. Areas of Special Interest Include:

Early Submission Fee: $90 for members and $140 for non-members prior to 15 November. After November 15 the late submission fee is $105 for members and $155 for non-members. All conference attendees are also responsible for paying the conference registration fee.

Program Committee Members Sought
Join the Program Committee by organizing a session or study/working group with 4 to 6 papers. Paper submission fees are waived for sessions organized by Program Committee members. Not more than 50 percent of the session’s authors or co-authors can be from the same department or center and a person cannot author or co-author more than one paper in the same session. Send an outline of your proposed session to Katherine S. Virgo, Ph.D., Program Chair, at iaes@iaes.org.

MEMBER RATE: Before 15 January….$480.00; 15 January-28 February….$580.00; After February 28….$650.00

NONMEMBER RATE: Before 15 January….$565.00; 15 January-28 February….$665.00; After February 28….$735.00

REGISTRATION RATE + MEMBERSHIP: Before 15 January….$610.00; 15 January-28 February….$710.00; After 28 February….$780.00

Conference sessions will be held at the beautiful Melia Galgos Hotel. This 4-star hotel is located in the neighborhood of Salamanca, one of the most exclusive and elegant districts in the city. Nearby attractions include the Madrid city center, the Prado Museum, Reina Sofía Museum and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum.
