Submission deadline: February 1st, 2014
The Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization (JEBO) will publish a special issue on Economic Experiments in the Lab and in the Field in Developing Countries. Economic experiments are increasingly used in developing country contexts both to measure individual preferences and to understand social interaction. The aim of this special issue is to advance our understanding of how different experimental methods can be used in the lab and in the field in developing countries and how experimental data can shed light on various topics in development economics. We especially invite papers that combine the experimental approach with economic theory.
Please submit your manuscript via JEBO’s online submission and editorial system, and select “SI: SEEDEC”. To be considered for publication, manuscripts must be received before February 1, 2014. Please conform to the standard guidelines for submission to JEBO. Details can be found in the Guide for Authors section at the Journal’s website http://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-economic-behavior-and-organization. We expect the special issue to appear in print in the first half of 2015. JEBO’s standard submission fee is waived for this special issue.
To speed up the revision process, we will apply a one-revision policy. All publication decisions will be made after no more than one revision. Submissions are first screened by the editors, and those within the scope of the special issue are then sent to expert referees for evaluation.
