The posts are open to any field in economics, but we would particularly welcome applications from excellent recent doctoral graduates or early career researchers of outstanding quality in the field of experimental economics.

Ranked amongst the world’s top 100, the University of Birmingham is an elite institution that offers an inspirational research and learning environment. The Economics Department is part of the Birmingham Business School. This is one of four Schools that comprise the College of Social Sciences, one of the University’s five Colleges.

The University of Birmingham has recently established its own laboratory specifically designed for the conduct of economics experiments (the Birmingham Experimental Economics Laboratory (BEEL)). Members of the Department of Economics have a wide range of research interests in areas such as applied economics, economic theory, behavioural/experimental economics economics, econometrics, environmental economics, finance, macroeconomics, and trade.
