ESA-announce Assistant Professor Openings for Experimental/Behavioral Economists at Virginia Commonwealth University

All, please circulate the following announcement to parties that may be interested.

The Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Economics seeks to fill one or more tenure track positions at the rank of assistant professor. The first position is for an experimental economist with the field of application open. For the second position, our preference is for a theorist with a demonstrated interest or experience in experimental methods. Applicants must have an established research agenda and should be committed to scholarly research and teaching of the highest quality. The candidate must also have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Qualifications: Candidate must have an earned doctorate in Economics by August 2015, must be eligible for employment in the United States and indicate their citizenship or visa status.
Preferred qualifications: Good communication skills, a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and research, and a capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues are desired. A potential to obtain external funding is also advantageous.
