ESA-announce Post-doctoral Position Open at Baylor University for an Experimental Economist

Posted on 2017/12/29. Filed under: 綜合 |

Faculty in the Department of Economics at Baylor University are looking to hire an experimental post-doctoral researcher starting in Fall 2018 for a 2 year stint (1 year renewable to a second year by our funding foundation with suitable performance). The post-doc will work closely with Dr. Jason Aimone and Dr. Chuck North at Baylor University and with Dr. Lucas Rentschler at Utah State University.

In brief: We have a funded project to experimentally explore the criminal justice system. No background in law in economics is needed but they should be interested in the topic (as that would be the majority of their work). Candidates should have completed a PhD in Economics or expect to have a PhD in Economics completed by August 2018. We are offering a very competitive salary ($60k a year plus benefits), some extra funds for the post-doc’s own experiments, and encourage the post-doc to spend 20% of their time on their own projects. They would be based at Baylor (with Jason Aimone Chuck North) but would work closely with Lucas Rentschler (Utah State) as well.

If you are interested or have anyone in mind please direct them to our job advertisement. I hope even your best students will consider this.

To Apply: see our application ad and full details on Interfolio (The JOE ad should be appearing online soon):

We have a few interview slots at the AEAs to interview a few candidates in person, but will continue to consider candidates throughout the spring until we fill the position. Let me know if you have any questions about the position.

Jason Aimone
