宋作楠先生紀念教育基金會為推動及鼓勵國內會計、審計、財務、稅務、資訊，管理及相關等知識之教育及研究，自1996年起設立「碩士論文獎」，迄今有73位論文獎及佳作得獎人。
宋作楠先生紀念教育基金會2011年的碩士論文獎由臺大管理論叢承辦。在此敬邀國內所有碩士班之學生與指導教授踴躍投稿。
【申請資格】國內碩士班應屆畢業生，並經指導教授推薦者（每位教授以推薦二篇為限）。
【論文獎甄選篇數及獎金】
1.碩士論文獎3篇，每篇獎金新台幣十萬元整，佳作2至5篇，每篇獎金新台幣二萬元整。
2.每位得獎者及其指導教授將獲頒獎牌一座。

2011年度供應鏈管理論文獎 已開始受理報名 (應屆及前一屆均可報名)
2011年度供應鏈管理論文獎已開始受理報名
為提昇供應鏈管理之學術水準及相關產業之競爭力，並鼓勵國內各大專院校進行供應鏈相關領域之優質研究，本會特別辦理【供應鏈管理論文獎】活動，獎勵投入供應鏈管理領域研究之碩、博士生，以培育發展更多供應鏈管理之優秀人才，增進產學之交流。
凡全國各大專院校管理學院、商學院及供應鏈管理領域相關院所之碩士、博士應屆(99學年度)與前一屆(98學年度)之畢業生，皆可報名參加；惟同篇論文以參賽一次為限。
（一）優勝獎：碩士組得獎者，可獲頒獎金新台幣貳萬元整，指導教授可獲頒獎金新台幣壹萬元整。博士組得獎者，可獲頒獎金新台幣肆萬元整，指導教授可獲頒獎金新台幣貳萬元整。指導教授為多名者，獎金均分之。
（二）佳作獎：得獎者及其指導教授，於頒獎典禮將獲頒榮譽獎牌乙座及中英文對照獎狀乙紙。
即日起至民國100年6月30日(四)前完成網路報名，並於7月14日(四)前完成繳件(以郵戳為憑)。

Dear Colleague,
Please find attached a Call for Papers for a special issue of the Journal of Economic Psychology on “Behavioral Dynamics of Tax Evasion".
On behalf of the Journal of Economic Psychology we invite colleagues to submit their work to a special issue on tax compliance. We are especially interested in papers that consider tax evasion dynamics emerging from repeated interaction of relevant actors in taxation processes. This may include dynamics that result from interaction of different behavioral types of tax payers, or from observing the behavior of others within social networks, or from interaction processes between taxpayers and tax authorities, etc. Examples could be topics such as: Tax Evasion and Social Interaction; Neural Aspects of Tax Compliance; Tax Evasion in Heterogeneous Societies; Tax Morale and Political Institutions; Judgment and Decision Making Dynamics of Tax Compliance; Trust, Power and Interaction Climate between Tax Payers and Authorities, etc.
Methodology
From a methodological perspective, approaches may include, but are not limited to, empirical and theoretical analysis, experiments with human subjects, agent-based simulations, etc. In any case, papers should be appropriate for the Journal’s main audience, i.e., economists and psychologists.
Submissions
Manuscripts should be prepared according to the guidelines outlined on the website of the Journal of Economic Psychology (http://ees.elsevier.com/joep/). Manuscripts should be submitted by December 31, 2011 through that website. Authors should select “Special Issue Behavioral Dynamics of Tax Evasion" as article type, and also indicate in the cover letter that the manuscript should be considered for the special issue on “Behavioral Dynamics of Tax Evasion".

Graduate School “Information Management and Market Engineering” offers Doctoral Scholarships at the Graduate School (Graduiertenkolleg) “Information Management and Market Engineering” to applicants with an interest in the School’s interdisciplinary research focus on electronic markets and services.
The Graduate School is a joint program by the departments of economics, business administration, computer science, and law of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), formerly Universität Karlsruhe (TH). Alongside their PhD research, scholars attend relevant courses and carry out joint research in the framework of an interdisciplinary seminar. The working language within the School is English, and theses may be written in either English or German.
Financed by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft – DFG), the scholarships amount to € 1.468,-
per month for 30 months; in addition research and travel funds and – if applicable – teaching funds will be provided. Depending on a
student’s academic background and research topic, the degree of Dr. rer. pol., Dr. rer. nat., Dr.-Ing., or Dr. iur. (the latter in cooperation with the law faculty of Universität Freiburg) may be awarded.
Both current PhD students and alumni have appreciated the interdisciplinary nature of the Graduate School. Recent research of members of the Graduate School covers, for example, the role of news in financial markets, auction-based approaches to controlling traffic flows, the trade-off between privacy and efficiency in electricity markets, as well as both technical and economic questions related to the next generation internet. A large share of students has an international background. Having completed their PhD, alumni of the School have shown to be successful both in industry and academia and have built a strong network within and beyond the Graduate School.
Successful candidates will have an excellent academic record, including an advanced degree in one of the aforementioned disciplines,
be fluent in English, and show a strong interest in interdisciplinary work. The university is committed to increasing the share of women in research and especially encourages female candidates to apply. Scholarships commence from October 2011 onwards; the date of entry may be deferred in both directions for a limited period.

ESA-announce Call for applications: RUBEN/CEAR workshop on the behavioural econometrics of risk, uncertainty and time preference
The Research Unit in Behavioural Economics and Neuroeconomics (RUBEN) and the Center for the Economic Analysis of Risk (CEAR) are presenting a 5-day workshop at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, in January 2012. The workshop focusses on the behavioural econometrics of risk, uncertainty and time preference and will be led by Prof. Glenn Harrison. The training is intended for an interdisciplinary participant group and applications are welcomed from all individuals who study risk, uncertainty or time preference. Applicants must be registered postgraduate students, post-doctoral fellows or faculty members at African academic or research institutions. The deadline for applications is 15 July 2011. Please pass this on to anyone who may be interested.
