ESA-announce Call for Papers: theem 2013 on “Reference-dependent preferences", Kreuzlingen, April 17-19

Posted on 2012/12/04. Filed under: 綜合 |

Workshop "Reference-dependent preferences"

TWI Kreuzlingen, Switzerland

April 17-19, 2013

Keynote Speakers: Botond Kőszegi and Lorenz Götte

There is no doubt that reference points are relevant in human decision making. People do not like having less than others and they dislike losses in comparison to the status quo. However, there is no clear evidence about how reference points are formed. Past experience and social environments often seem to shape a person’s reference point; recent work furthermore emphasizes the importance of expectations as a determinant. This conference intends to shed light on the formation of reference points. We invite contributions discussing reference-dependent preferences, in particular those which discuss the formation of reference points and how they enter preferences. We welcome experimental, theoretical, and empirical research from economics, psychology, and other related disciplines.

Submission Deadline: February 1, 2013
Notification of Acceptance: March 1, 2013
