ESA-announce Special Issue of GAMES: “Experimental Studies of Social Dilemma Games"
Dear ESA Colleagues:
I invite you to submit your research to a Special Issue of GAMES. This Special Issue will be devoted to experimental studies of social dilemma problems. We envisage a fairly broad scope for this Special Issue and we will consider all studies that use experimental methods to look at a variety of social dilemma problems, such as voluntary contribution mechanisms or common pool resource extraction problems. However, we do recognize that this is an increasingly crowded field and so, while we will seriously consider all submissions, some preference will be given to novel applications of the methodology. Such applications may include, but are not restricted to, field experiments or artefactual lab experiments on collective action problems, such as the management of common pool resources, endogenous formation of networks and social norms, neuro-economic studies of contributions and punishments, and studies that try to understand to what extent behavior in the lab translates to that in the field.
Deadline for submissions: July 31, 2015.

Call for papers Proposals for contributed papers as well as symposia (of three papers each) are welcome in all areas of philosophy of economics and economic methodology, including ethical aspects of economics and the foundations of rational choice theory. Submissions that focus on methodological and philosophical issues related to poverty, inequality and development are particularly welcome. We especially encourage submissions from graduate students and members of underrepresented groups. Graduate students whose abstracts are accepted for inclusion in the programme will have travel and accommodation (in on-campus residences) expenses, other than airfare, covered by INEM.
Abstract submission Please submit an abstract (300-500 words) on the online abstract submission form at the following link: http://www.inem2015.co.za/. Be sure to indicate whether you are a graduate student. To facilitate efforts by accepted contributors to secure institutional funding, acceptances will be communicated on a rolling basis within one month of submission. However, no submissions will be considered after September 10, 2015.
Symposia proposal submission Please submit a description of a symposium (1,500-2,000 words) to Belinda.chapman . The description should contain both a clear explanation of the topic as well as three short (200-300 words) abstracts of the papers. Please prepare the description for anonymous review and submit it as an attachment (*.pdf). Please include the contact details of the symposium chair and all authors (name, affiliation, email address) in the email. The deadline for submissions is 30 June, 2015. Acceptance will be communicated by 31 July, 2015.
Traveling to Cape Town Cape Town is a long trip for most, but good airfare deals are available on various airlines if booked well in advance. We are pleased to announce the call for papers for the Fourth Annual International Workshop on Experimental Economics at Xiamen University. We welcome submissions incorporating or analyzing controlled experiments using human subjects in studies of decision theory, economics, finance, game theory, management science, marketing, or political science. The conference theme is “Using PhysicalMeasures to Better Explain Choice” and we particularly encourage submissions related to this topic.

PAPER SUBMISSION AND REGISTRATION
Researchers who would like to present their work at the conference are invited to submit a short abstract (not exceeding 250 words, including title and co-authors) to experiment2013wise(at)gmail.com. Please note that all submissions and presentations will be in English. Researchers will be limited to presenting one paper. The submission deadline is October 7, 2013. Decisions of acceptance will be announced by October 15, 2013.
The registration fee is 800 RMB for those whose primary affiliation is with a domestic Chinese institution and 200 USD for international participants. This registration fee will be waived for students (both domestic and international). The registration deadline is November 15, 2013. Note if you plan to attend but not present, please send an e-mail indicating your intention to experiment2013wise(at)gmail.com prior to the registration deadline.
BEST PAPER AWARD
The WISE Outstanding Experimental Economics Paper Award will be given to the most outstanding paper presented at this conference by a researcher who will have not received his or her Ph.D. prior to 2009. If you are eligible and wish to be considered for this award, please submit a PDF copy of the completed paper you will present in an e-mail indicating your interest to to experiment2013wise(at)gmail.com by November 30, 2013.
We are also pleased to announce that the Journal of Neuroscience, Psychology, and Economics (http://www.apa.org/pubs/journals/npe/index.aspx) has agreed to publish a symposium consisting of papers presented at the conference. The JPNE is the world’s only journal focused on publishing research in Neuroeconomics. All submissions for the symposium will be subject to peer review and the usual publication standards of the journal.

The annual International Workshop on Experimental Economics is one component of the effort by WISE to establish a leading research center in Experimental Economics and Finance. The Finance and Economics Experimental Lab (FEEL) at WISE commenced operations in the Fall of 2010. Please visit the Lab’s website (http://feel.xmu.edu.cn) for more information. This state of the art facility is part of the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory in Econometrics awarded to WISE in 2010. This is the first Ministry Key Lab established in the social sciences.
Xiamen is located in Southeast China and has convenient direct flights to many major cities in Asia. It is famous for its resort like atmosphere and has a reputation as the cleanest and most livable Chinese city. Interesting places near Xiamen include the UNESCO World Heritage Hakka Earth Buildings, Gulangyu (Piano Island) and Wuyi Mountain.
Established in 2005, the Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics (WISE) is a recent effort of the Ministry of Education of China and Xiamen University to build a first class research institute and facilitate domestic and international research and academic exchanges. 【徵稿啟事】第4屆亞太創新年會初稿繳交截止日期展延至7月5日
由本會、國立臺灣大學社會科學院、國立中央大學管理學院，以及中央研究院經濟研究所等，於今年12月6、7日合作舉辦之第4屆亞太創新年會（4th Asia-Pacific Innovation Conference），初稿繳交期限由原訂的6月24日，展延至7月5日。

東吳大學會計學系與中華會計教育學會將於2013年10月24、25日假東吳大學城中校區共同舉辦「2013會計理論與實務研討會」。本次研討會將邀請國際知名會計學者Professor Dan Simunic 及Professor Elijabeth Gorden 來臺專題演講，並配合多場實務座談會及學術論文研討等議程進行多方探討，希望藉由本次研討會，聚集國內外學者專家相互研討砌磋，提出彼此的心得及具體可行的建議，俾供各界參考。
「會計理論與實務研討會」為中華會計教育學會例行的大型研討會，也是台灣會計界的年度盛事。素仰 先生涵養深厚學貫中西，德識淵博成就卓越，若蒙惠賜大作於研討會發表，則與會學者自當受益匪淺。隨函附徵稿資料，企首引盼論文大作，不勝感激。耑此

臺大管理論叢徵稿: 2014管理理論與實務國際研討會（2014, 4-5, 日本北九州市）
NTU Management Review is going to host the 2014 Management Theory and Practice Conference at Kitakyushu, Japan on April 4-5, 2014.
NTU Management Review is an academic journal published by the College of Management, National Taiwan University (NTU) and is included in the Scopus database. Witnessing the significance of economic growth in the Asia Pacific region, NTU Management Review initiated the conference with “Frontiers of Management: An Asia Pacific Perspective” as the conference theme, and has gained the sponsorship by the City of Kitakyushu, Japan. Research papers focusing on the theme or aiming to gain insights on the various fields of management are welcomed.
